Lavender Calcite is a rare purple variety of calcium carbonate. It's pastel purple color comes from trace amounts of manganese trapped within the crystal lattice. It's sources primarily from Canada, Mexico, and Madagascar.
Many would agree that optical Lavender Calcite is uv reactive and often fluoresce under a 365 nm black light. The unique structure gives the crystal internal clarity making it look like it glows from within.
Lavender Calcite is linked to the crown and eye chakras. It's believed to promote deep emotional calm, ease stress, clear negative energy and promote self worth. Some alternative strands of alternate folklore connect Lavender Calcite to the lost mythical city of Lemuria.
