About Volcanic Agate
Volcanic Agate is a product of the extrusives from volcanoes like lava, tuff, glass ect. They have to cool and be subject to hydrothermal process before agate is formed. The official name for this crystal is Extrusive Agate, but apparently it's not as catchy.
Volcanic Agate is basically fossilized volcanic breath. Millions of years ago, as molten lava cooled, escaping has got trapped that created pockets in the rock. Silica rich groundwater then flooded the pocket, over hundreds of thousands of years the water evaporated leaving deposits of chalcedony.
Because many pieces reveal fluorescent colors under UV it's said to uncover hidden talents and inner strength. It can be used as a shield to ward off bad energy and interference. It's mainly connected to the root and sacral chakra for passion and creativity.
