Chevron Amythyst

This exquisite sphere has a rare chalcedony eye that displays a honeycomb like shape.  It's got a sharp chevron zig zag of deep purple bands that interlock with white quartz. 

Also known as crazy lace amythst is layered quartz, purple amythst and chaotic banded agate. Discovered in its primary source, Mexico, it forms when amythst grows inside the hollow pockets of older pre-existing lace agate formations.  

It's Amythst energy is believed to offer calming, protective, and spiritual awareness tied to the third eye and crown chakras.  It's used in meditation to balance chaotic emotions while keeping a peaceful clear mind.  

Chevron amythst is susceptible to UV reversible fading. This means exposure to direct sunlight will permanently fade the deep purple sections into a dull grey.  Some specimens contain trace minerals in the agate bands that glow a faint green or neon yellow under shortwave UV light.
